  • Revista de Asistenţă Socială / Social Work Review: Romanian peer reviewed academic journal published since 2002 by the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work, University of Bucharest in partnership with Polirom Publishing House. The journal aims to be a meeting place for ideas, a mean for dissemination of researches, good practices, experiences in the field of social work, and also of policies serving as a social change agent. Articles from all areas of social work are welcomed: innovative articles, researches, and comments of policies, practices, social programs and their implications for social work interventions. The journal aims to present the best work in and about contemporary society and the phenomenon, in order to improve the knowledge base and practice of its readers.   • Journal of Social Intervention: Theory and Practice: Dutch peer reviewed academic journal published by Igitur, Utrecht Publishing & Archiving Services in cooperation with Utrecht University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Society and Law. The journal aims to make available academic research and reflections on practice in social intervention to a readership of academics and professionals. The journal focuses on the interface between social policy, organizational innovation, development of methods and professional practice. The subjects featured in the journal are not restricted to any specific domain of intervention, since social intervention is a relevant concept to different domains, such as social pedagogy, social work, community and organizational development, adult education, local social policy, and different sectors of care (e.g. youth care).   • Journal of Comparative Social Work: Norwegian peer reviewed academic journal published by Bodø University College, Department of Social Science. The journal aims to draw attention to the field of comparative social work, a research discipline which emphasizes comparative studies of social work between different countries and cultures. This journal publishes two types of papers related to social work: comparative studies and single site studies that may be repeated in different geographical/cultural settings. It also publishes  English translations of previously published material, essays discussing / reflecting on this subject from a personal point of view, student works at master and PhD level, book reviews.   • International Social Work: peer reviewed academic journal published since 1959 by Sage in cooperation with IASSW, ICSW and IFSW. The journal is designed to extend knowledge and promote communication in the fields of social development, social welfare and human services. Its major focus is on the interaction between processes of globalisation and the development of social welfare at national level, as well as social work and community development locally. It aims at examining the meaning of international social work in practice and theory, and exploring how those concerned with social work and community development can engage with international issues.
